About Us:

John and Vivian Carson have over 10 years experience in working with computers.

John's first computer was an Amiga, where he spent one very long wet season learning how to use it and learning to type using all fingers. He went on from this to use the computer for CAD drafting and completing further studies in a Graduate Diploma in Educational Computing.

Recently he completed a Cisco networking course.

Vivian has been a user of computers and computer programs since their introduction to the office environment and is very proficient in the use of MS Office, and many other related office based programs.

John was a TAFE lecturer at the University and has spent many years helping students understand the benefits of using computers for their studies and in their workplaces.

His interest in fixing and building computers has been a hobby for many years, and he has now turned his hobby into a business.

Vivian has worked in HR with a number of organiations in Darwin and brings many years of experiance to our customers.

Personalised Service:

We offer to you a quality service with many years of experience with an up-to-date understanding of how computers work, and how you would like them work for you. We promise to respond as quickly as possible to your call for help and we are willing to travel to your site.

We offer and on-site or office based service from Stuart Park. Drop your computer in in the morning and in most cases you can pick it up on the way home.  Or call and we will come to your place and fix the problem there.

Quality:

You can rely on a quality service from Smarttask, all work is guaranteed, and if we can't fix it you will not be charged, but you will get a detailed report of what is wrong and how you can get it fixed. (Some items can only be sourced from a specific manufacturer which Smarttask does not have a contract with.)

Most computer problems can be described in plain English as the processes they use can be related to everyday things. Our experience as a trainers has given us the skills to do this.  We know from experience how frustrating owning a computer that is not working properly can be.  Let us help you get your computer running at peak performance.  But like a good car from time to time they need a good tune up and we can offer our expertise from years of experience in getting them up to speed.

Economy:

Our business is a Home Based Business helping to keep the cost to you at a minimum. Our present charge is $77/hr with some services like Hard disk rebuilds being done for a fixed cost of $154 if delivered to our office.  Our aim is to keep the cost to you as low as possible and still make a living. We offer discounts to Seniors and clients who become regular customers. (Min 3 consecutive service calls)
